The client is a privately owned and operated marine surveying company in Donaldsonville, LA.

Overview

This project is created for a leading marine surveying company to manage the entire Cargo discharging process, starting from Stowage Plan to the Report generation.

Project Description 

Time Log – Field Managers can capture Time Log details to analyze the activities that happened during a particular period. For example, they can capture when the discharge process commenced when it was paused and the reason, etc. It will help the management level users to know the current status of the discharge process and help them to predict the possible ETA to complete the discharge process.

In Time Log Module, we have given the facility to send links via Whats APP to Group of Contacts or particular contact to create Time Log in Database.

Process Flow:

• In the Settings module, given functionality to link the contacts with groups.
• On-Time Log Module, Have “Send Time to log via WhatsApp” button.
• Clicking on the above-mentioned button will display a popover where the user can select any group or can enter mobile numbers to which contact they need to send the link.
• After entering the contact numbers, Clicking on the Send button will send the URL link via WhatsApp.
• On the Whatsapp application, Clicking on the link will navigate to a Form to enter Time log details on the default web browser in the mobile phone.
• After entering the Time log details clicking on the save button will bring back to WhatsApp with time log details entered. Users can attach any pictures or files if needed.
• Clicking on the Send button will send the details to the Database.

Through the FileMaker schedule script, with the details from WhatsApp, will create a new time log entry.

Technical Highlights

Custom Web Publishing (CWP) to Send URL link to mobile number via WhatsApp for Create Time log and get back created Time Log details to the database.
